Answered Prayers

Oh my goodness. I love this! My host family is precious. Who knew the worst part of my day would be dragging my new carry on through the sandy streets of my new city. My Ukrainian family has welcomed me with open arms. They have accepted me as one of their own. My Ukrainian Mama is amazing and I am sure we are going to have a wonderful time over the next three months.

There is a little girl living with us who reminds me of my niece Eliana. She is the daughter of my Ukrainian sister. Her non-verbal communication is incredible and her smile can light up a room. The fact that this little girl knows more Ukrainian than me is kind of funny. Over the next three months I will call this place my new home while I learn the Ukrainian language and culture. It is a gift to know that I am in good hands.

I told my new family over dinner that my mom’s prayers have been answered. In fact, my family and friends would be happy to know that I am in good hands. However, I also told them that my prayers have also been answered because the house has a washer, running water, and of coarse, WIFI. Thank you lord!
